Segment #3 - Cedar Plank Salmon and Caprese Salad
Recipe - Cedar Plank Salmon
Cooking food on aromatic cedar planks is a Native American tradition that enhances the flavor of the food.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Cedar plank (untreated cedar cut to fit the size of your oven pan)
- 1 pound salmon filet with skin
- Sesame oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 bunch scallions, chopped
- Sea salt and pepper
LET'S GET STARTED:
- Soak cedar plank in water for two hours. Remove and pat dry.
- Brush oil on top side of plank and place on a large cookie sheet.
- Sprinkle scallions over the cedar and place the salmon on the scallions. Sprinkle salt and pepper on salmon.
- Bake in 350 degree F oven for about 35 minutes.
