Segment #3 - Cedar Plank Salmon and Caprese Salad
Recipe - Cedar Plank Salmon

Cooking food on aromatic cedar planks is a Native American tradition that enhances the flavor of the food.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Cedar plank (untreated cedar cut to fit the size of your oven pan)
  • 1 pound salmon filet with skin
  • Sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 bunch scallions, chopped
  • Sea salt and pepper

LET'S GET STARTED:

  1. Soak cedar plank in water for two hours. Remove and pat dry.
  2. Brush oil on top side of plank and place on a large cookie sheet.
  3. Sprinkle scallions over the cedar and place the salmon on the scallions.   Sprinkle salt and pepper on salmon.
  4. Bake in 350 degree F oven for about 35 minutes.
