Activity - Travel Bingo/I Spy

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• Slide protector sleeve (or baseball card protector sleeve)
• Construction paper
• Small pictures cut out from magazines, newspapers, travel brochures
• Glue stick
• Ruler
• Scissors

LET'S GET STARTED:

1. Measure and cut the construction paper into pieces that fit into each of the protector slots.   Cut the pieces about 1/4-inch longer than the slot opening for easy removal when you play the game.
2. Encourage your child to page through the printed material and search for pictures of things that might be spotted during your travels.
3. Glue one picture to each piece of paper and place it in a sleeve.
4. While in the car, your child can observe the scenery to find objects and landmarks that match their pictures. When one is spotted, pull out that picture, flip it over and tuck back in the sleeve.
5. You might want to challenge one another to spot objects in a whole row or, for a bigger challenge, see who can finish his or her card first.
