Activity - Potato Paper Plastic Bottle Lamp

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• Plastic soda or water bottle small enough for one sheet of potato paper to fit around it
• Scissors
• Sheet of potato paper
• Hot glue gun
• Free-standing low-wattage electric candle style lamp

LET'S GET STARTED:

1. Cut off top and bottom ends of bottle to create a tube.
2. If needed, cut a small groove in one edge of the base of tube for the cord of the lamp to fit through.
3. Clip out small designs from the potato paper to allow light to shine through.
4. Wrap paper around bottle and hot glue together at seam. This is your lampshade.
5. Set over the lamp.
