Episode 120 - Take a Moment

Recipe - Seafood Symphony

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • 1/2 cup small diced carrots
  • 1/2 cup small diced parsnips
  • 1/2 cup small diced celery
  • 1/4 cup small diced yellow onion
  • 3 cups clam juice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon minced applewood smoked dulse (dried seaweed)
  • 1/4-1/2 cup peeled shrimp cut into strips
  • 1 cup sea beans broken into 2-inch pieces (substitute: green beans)
  •  salt and pepper to taste

LET'S GET STARTED:

  1. Place the carrots, parsnips, celery and onion in pre-heated stock pot or large saucepan and stir lightly about 3 minutes.
  2. Add the clam juice and water and stir.
  3. Sprinkle the applewood smoked dulse in the pot and bring to a boil.
  4. Simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Add the shrimp pieces and the sea beans or green beans and stir.
  6. Cook 1-2 minutes more and serve in bowls.
