Segment #3 -Floor Mats
Activity - Cha Cha Cha Door Mat

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• Standard sturdy fiber type doormat
• Acrylic paint, paintbrush
• Old iron (optional)
• Masking tape

LET'S GET STARTED:

1. Place a piece of masking tape about 2-inches from the bottom edge of the iron. Paint the bottom of the iron.
2. Immediately stamp foot shapes onto your mat in a cha cha step pattern. (You may need to fill in more paint on the mat with a brush.)
3. Let dry.
4. When the kids come into the house instead of asking if they wiped their feet you can say, "Did you do the cha cha cha?"

Note: Instead of using an iron for a pattern, you could also use the sole of an old shoe to make the design on the mat or even paint the design free hand.
