Activity - Crayon Art on Rocks

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• Several smooth rocks
• Crayons
• Soft cloth

LET'S GET STARTED:

Have your kids color one side of each rock with bright crayons.
Place rocks color-side-up on a cookie sheet and let an adult place the tray in the oven for two or three minutes at the lowest temperature. Keep an eye on them at all times.
The heat will warm the rocks and melt the designs into beautiful images. Remove from oven and let them cool. Polish with a soft cloth. Or, melt designs outdoors on a hot sunny day. If you are at a beach, make crayon designs on smooth shells too.
