Activity - CD Case Invitation

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• CD case
• Craft foam sheet
• Glue
• Ruler
• Fabric paint
• Photos
• Permanent markers

LET'S GET STARTED:

1. Remove all contents of CD case so you are left with the clear case. (See variation in instructions to follow.)
2. Measure each side of case. (Typically: Left = 5" x 4-3/4" and Right = 5-1/2" x 4-1/2")
3. Cut foam sheets to fit into each side.
4. On left foam sheet piece, add decoration or the words "You're Invited" using a permanent marker or fabric paint. Let dry. On the other side of that piece, glue a photo of party host or recital child. Let dry and place into the left side of the CD case, photo facing the inside of the case.
5. On right foam sheet, write party or recital details. Glue into the back cover of CD case with details facing inside the case.
6. Put CD case invitation into a padded envelope and mail.
7. For a variation: instead of removing the black CD section, keep it intact but remove old CD case liner paper from behind it. Take an unusable CD and with a permanent marker or fabric paint write your party or recital details right onto the surface of the CD and place back into the CD section of the case.
