Episode 107 - Celebrations
Segment #4 - At the Table
Activity - Lily Pad Napkin Holders

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Disposable aluminum cookie sheet from grocery store
  • Green and yellow acrylic paint, paintbrush or sponge or non-toxic permanent paint pens
  • Scissors
  • Wire
  • Strong glue
  • Napkins

LET'S GET STARTED:

  1. Cut out a lily pad shape approximately 3-inches x 4-inches from the aluminum pan.
  2. Wind 12-inches of wire around a small juice glass to form a large spring-like shape.   Remove.   Glue to the center of the lily pad.
  3. Once glue is dry, paint the lily pad.
  4. Cut out a small frog shape (or you could make a bug) from the aluminum pan.
  5. Make a small wire spring and glue the frog to one end. Glue the opposite end to the edge of the lily pad.
  6. Make lily pad for each tablesetting. Slip a napkin through the large spring.
